Content Alert Metrics and Reporting

This article explains how to navigate Content Metrics, adjust reporting timeframes, and understand viewership, engagement, and activity reports across content and users.

Content Metrics and Reporting

Once content alerts and notifications are enabled and in use, Content Metrics allow you to track how users are interacting with your content. These reports provide visibility into viewership, engagement, and overall activity across your workspace.

1. Accessing Content Metrics

To access reports:

  1. From the homepage, expand the navigation bar
  2. Navigate to Content Metrics

A report will load automatically with default settings.

2. Adjusting Date Ranges

By default, reports display data from the last 30 days.

You can adjust this by:

  • Selecting predefined date ranges
  • Defining a custom time range

This allows you to analyze activity based on specific periods.

3. Filtering by Workspace (Business Unit Admins)

Business Unit Admins can:

  • Apply filters to view specific workspaces
  • Aggregate data across multiple workspaces

This provides a centralized view of engagement across all assigned workspaces.

4. Viewership Metrics

The platform provides detailed audience viewership metrics for both videos and documents.

Key Metrics Include

  • Total number of videos shared
  • Total number of videos opened
  • Unique views
  • Unique viewers
  • Repeat view ratio (users returning to rewatch content)
  • Completion rate (watching content to the end)
  • Total viewership time

Similar metrics are also available for documents, allowing comparison between:

  • Interactive content (videos)
  • Static content (documents)

5. Cohort Analysis

Cohort reporting provides insight into how users progress through content.

  • Identifies where users drop off during viewing
  • Can be filtered by:
    • Video
    • Document

This helps understand how effectively content is holding attention.

6. Content Engagement Funnel

Content engagement is presented as a funnel view showing:

  • How much content has been shared
  • How much content is being opened
  • How much content is being played

This helps track engagement trends as activity increases over time.

7. Content Activity Trends

Content Activity provides a linear view of engagement over time.

Includes

  • Average duration of engagement (in hours)
  • Overall content interaction trends

This view helps track growth in usage and engagement patterns over time.

8. Detailed Content-Level Metrics

Workspace and Business Unit Admins can view detailed engagement at the content level.

Per Content Insights

  • Number of times content is opened
  • Number of times content is played
  • Completion rates (played to the end)

As usage grows, this provides deeper insight into how individual pieces of content perform.

9. User Engagement Leaderboard

A user-level leaderboard is available to track engagement.

What You Can Do

  • View user activity rankings
  • Identify highly engaged users
  • Track participation over time

Exporting Data

  • Navigate to the table view
