Converting Long Documents into Learning Modules

This article explains how to upload documents into Content Connect, choose between Module or Program, and generate structured learning from short or long documents.

1. Start in Content Connect

  1. Navigate to app.on3.ai
  2. From the homepage, click Create Course
  3. Click Next to begin the setup process

2. Select Workspace

  • Choose your workspace (company or division)
  • If needed, use the dropdown to select the correct workspace

Click Next

3. Select Build Type (Module vs Program)

You will choose how your document is processed based on its length.

Module

  • Use for documents 10 pages or fewer
  • Creates a single learning module

Program

  • Use for documents longer than 10 pages
  • Automatically breaks the document into multiple modules
  • Each module represents a smaller, more manageable section

Programs are ideal for longer documents because they organize content into structured learning segments.

4. Upload Your Document

  • Drag and drop your file, or
  • Select it from your computer

Click Next

5. Add Title and Details

  • Use the existing file name or enter a new title
  • Description is optional
  • Additional information is optional

Click Next

6. Confirm and Generate

  • Review your selections
  • Click Confirm
  • Click Generate Module

Content Connect will begin processing your document.

7. Processing Time

  • The system processes documents at approximately 1 minute per page
  • Example:
    • A 74-page document may take about 1 hour to complete

You will be returned to the homepage while processing continues in the background.

8. Track Progress

To monitor progress:

  • Click My Current Activity
  • View active jobs and processing status

The system will:

  • Analyze the document
  • Break it into modules
  • Generate learning content for each section

9. Access Your Program and Modules

  1. Navigate to Programs
  2. Select your newly created program

You will see:

  • Modules appear progressively as they are generated
  • Each module representing a section of the original document
