Managing the Learning Journey in Content Connect

This article explains how to review and refine the Learning Journey in Content Connect, including verifying transcripts and managing objectives, primers, flashcards, knowledge checks, and AI Coaching.

1. Start with the Transcript (Critical Step)

Before reviewing any learning elements, always validate the transcript.

Where to Find It

  • Navigate to Resources → Contents
  • Open your video or audio track
  • Scroll down to view the transcript

What to Check

  • Accuracy of wording
  • Correct terminology
  • Completeness of information

Why This Matters

Everything in the Learning Journey is generated from the transcript.
If the transcript is incorrect, all learning elements will reflect those errors.

2. Editing and Regenerating the Module

If you update the transcript:

  1. Click Save
  2. Open AI Module Assistant
  3. Select Regenerate Module
  4. Confirm regeneration

The system will rebuild the Learning Journey based on your updated transcript.

3. Using Preview

  • Open Preview to view the learner experience
  • It is recommended to keep Preview open while reviewing content

4. Learning Objectives

Learning Objectives define what the learner will understand or be able to do.

Key Characteristics

  • One sentence each
  • Clear and concise
  • Based on the transcript

Editing

  • Select each objective to edit
  • Adjust wording if needed

Slide Grouping

  • Objectives are grouped into slides
  • You can reorganize them if needed
  • Re-grouping is optional

5. Primers

Primers provide detailed explanations before the learner engages with the main content.

Purpose

  • Reinforce key concepts
  • Prepare learners before viewing content

Best Practice

Ask:
“If the learner only read the Primers, would they understand the topic?”

Adding Images to Primers

Primers are most effective when paired with images.

To Add an Image

  1. Open a Primer
  2. Click Add Primer Image
  3. Choose one:
    • Upload an image
    • Select from library
    • Capture from video

Capturing from Video

  • Play the video
  • Locate the best visual moment
  • Click Capture
  • Click Select

Text and Layout Tips

  • Ensure text fits within the slide
  • Shorten titles or descriptions if needed
  • Save all changes

Adding New Primers

  • Click Add Primer
  • Enter:
    • Title
    • Description
    • Image

Using AI Assistance

  • Open AI Module Assistant
  • Request additional Primer content
  • Specify what information to include

6. Flashcards

Flashcards reinforce learning through recall.
