Setup Notifications and Content Alerts

This article explains how Business Unit Admins enable notifications, configure content alerts, and define acknowledgement and completion thresholds for tracking content engagement.

Notifications and Content Alerts

Notifications and Content Alerts allow you to control how users are notified about new content and ensure that important information is viewed and acknowledged.

These settings must be enabled at the workspace level by a Business Unit Admin.

1. Enabling Notifications

To enable notifications for a workspace:

  1. Navigate to Workspaces using the navigation bar
  2. Select the workspace you want to configure
  3. Open Settings
  4. Navigate to Features
  5. Turn on the following toggles:
    • Push Notifications
    • SMS Notifications

These options control how users receive alerts when new content becomes available.

2. Configuring Content Alerts and Acknowledgement

To ensure users view and acknowledge content:

  1. Go to Notification Settings
  2. Locate the View Acknowledgement toggle
  3. Turn the toggle ON to enable acknowledgement tracking

When enabled:

  • Users can be required to confirm they have viewed content
  • This helps ensure important updates are not missed

3. Defining Acknowledgement Trigger Threshold

You can control when the acknowledgement prompt appears.

  • Set the trigger threshold percentage
  • Default value: 90%

This means:

  • The acknowledgement request appears after a user has viewed 90% of the content

4. Defining Completion Threshold

You can also define what qualifies as a completed view.

  • Set the completion percentage threshold
  • Default value: 90%

This determines:

  • When a content view is counted as completed
  • How viewership and engagement metrics are tracked
