On3 AI Release Notes

Version 2.1.5 — Released December 11, 2025

Highlights

  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for Legacy Documents
    We added the ability to recognize and extract text from images and scanned PDFs, enabling customers to bring older materials—often still living in three-ring binders, legacy manuals, or decades-old documentation—into AskOn3.
    This supports a wider range of operational, safety, HR, compliance, and administrative content beyond construction process training, making company knowledge more accessible and searchable across teams.

  • Build Full Programs & Modules from Large Source PDFs
    You can now upload a large PDF, and On3 will automatically:

    • Break the document into logical learning segments

    • Generate a full program with modules

    • Create structured microlearning components

    • Produce an audio track per module
      This is a long-running AI process (typically 25–30 minutes, depending on document size). The system will send an email notification once generation is complete.

  • Improved Module Generation Alignment
    Module creation is now more consistent with structured microlearning rules—better organization, clearer outputs, and more reliable formatting across all learning elements.

  • Bug Fixes & Formatting Improvements

    • Improved AskOn3 Indexing Reliability: Fixed an issue where videos with unusually long intros could be indexed successfully but the UI would fail to update their indexed status.

    • Improved Microlearning Formatting Rules: We no longer generate subtitles inside primers, and full sentences now include proper punctuation for clearer readability.

Version 2.1.4 — Released December 4, 2025

Version 2.1.4 introduces major enhancements to AI-powered training content creation, new workflow improvements for L&D teams, and several usability upgrades across content authoring and user management.

  • Improved AI Training Content Pipelines
    AI generation now produces more accurate and clearer learning objectives, primers, flashcards, knowledge checks, and AI Coaching content—prioritizing realism, clarity, and ease of understanding.

  • Higher-Quality Learning Output
    Training materials now align more closely with field expectations, helping learners understand topics more quickly and enabling L&D reviewers to approve content with far fewer edits.

  • Auto-Grouping & Smart Formatting Suggestions
    New intelligent structuring automatically groups related ideas and recommends bolding, bulleting, and keypoint emphasis for improved readability.

  • Improved Mobile-Optimized Content Layouts
    Course content is now better capped and structured to fit native mobile layouts, reducing the need for post-generation editing.

  • AI-Driven Video Keyframe Detection
    On3 now detects important visual moments in videos and recommends static image shots that can be used for:

    • Primer visuals
    • Module Background covers
    • Field guides

  • Bulk User Upload Support
    Workspace administrators can now upload multiple users at once, streamlining onboarding and user provisioning.

  • User Last Login Tracking
    Added the ability to view the last login date for each user, improving visibility into engagement and account activity.

  • Module Cloning
    Authors can now clone an existing module with one click—ideal for creating updated revisions or for building Spanish, French, or other language versions by cloning the module and asking the AI Assistant to translate and adapt the content.

  • Bug Fix — Mobile AskOn3 Conversation Switching
    Fixed an issue where UI elements were not updating correctly when switching between active chat conversations or creating new ones.

 

Version 2.1.3 — Released November 21, 2025

This release expands the core capabilities of AskOn3 and the On3 AI Knowledge Base, enabling broader interpretation and extraction of information across a wider range of organizational documents and content.

    The AI engine now delivers more precise responses, with clearer source citations that help users trace where information came from.

    Beyond construction workflows, AskOn3 can now recall and answer questions related to general company operations, processes, and business practices.

  • Improved Knowledge Retrieval

Version 2.1.2 — Released November 20, 2025

This release improves mobile video handling, AskOn3 usability, and overall reliability in field conditions.

Highlights
• iOS gallery uploads now use improved compression, producing smaller file sizes and faster uploads.
• All videos recorded inside the On3 app on both iOS and Android are now standardized to 1080p and H.264 for consistent quality and smaller size.
• Android gallery compression will be added in a future release.
• Added support for multiple AskOn3 chat conversations.
• Users can now delete AskOn3 conversations for easier organization.
• Module screens cannot be closed until video uploads are complete, preventing lost content.
