Steps to Take Before Approving a Module
This article outlines the required review process to ensure a learning module is accurate, high quality, and ready for approval.
Step 1: Review the Video
-
Watch and listen to the entire video
-
Confirm audio quality is clear and consistent
-
Ensure the video includes:
-
A wide view of the subject
-
Zoomed-in views where detail is required
-
The video should clearly demonstrate what the learner is expected to understand or replicate.
Step 2: Review the Transcript (Critical Step)
-
Read the entire transcript carefully from start to finish
-
Verify:
-
Overall content accuracy
-
Correct spelling of brand names and terminology
-
Why This Matters
All learning content is generated from the transcript. Any errors left uncorrected will be repeated throughout the module, including primers, flashcards, and knowledge checks.
Step 3: Review the Audio Track (Modules Created from Documents)
This step applies when a module is created from a document and includes an associated audio track.
-
Listen to the full audio track
-
Ensure the audio discusses the core content you want to cover from the document
-
Understand that the audio typically captures key concepts, not every detail from the document
Why This Matters
The audio track is what the AI uses to generate learning content.
If the audio is not specific to the areas you want to highlight, that lack of clarity will carry through the entire learning experience.
Improving Coverage
If specific details from the document are missing:
-
Use the AI Assistant
-
Ask the AI to add Primer content around the specific areas you want to emphasize
This allows you to reinforce important details even if they were not fully covered in the audio.
Step 4: Review the Primers Section
-
Confirm the primer content is:
-
Accurate
-
Relevant to the topic
-
-
Ensure text fits properly within the text box
-
Verify images:
-
Match the topic being discussed
-
Are consistent with the written content
-
Primers should reinforce learning clearly and visually.
Step 5: Review Objectives and Flashcards
Learning Objectives
-
Short
-
Clear
-
Concise
Flashcards
-
Written as accurate questions
-
Aligned with the module content
Both should reflect what the learner actually gains from the module.
Final Approval
Once all sections have been reviewed and verified:
-
Select Approve Module from the top navigation bar
Important Reminder
The transcript is the foundation of the entire learning experience.
If issues are found:
-
Request a Pro, or
-
Send the module back to the creator with specific feedback, or
-
Edit the content directly using the system’s user-friendly tools
